Cookie Policy
Plain-English version of what this site stores on your device, and how to say no.
The short version
Nothing tracks you until you click Accept on the cookie banner. If you click Decline, no analytics loads at all — not Google's, not ours. You can change your mind anytime with the Cookie settings link in the footer.
What loads if you accept
- Google Analytics 4 — Google's analytics service, which sets its own cookies to measure traffic (pages viewed, roughly where visitors come from). Data goes to Google under their terms.
- Microsoft Clarity — Microsoft's free heatmap and session-recording tool, which shows us where visitors click, how far they scroll, and anonymized recordings of how pages get used, so we can improve the site. Data goes to Microsoft under their terms. Only activates after you click Accept.
- Our first-party pageview beacon — a tiny script that records an anonymous pageview (page path, referrer, any UTM campaign tags, and a random per-visit ID kept in your browser's session storage) to our own database. No name, no email, no cross-site tracking.
- Outbound click measurement — if you click a link to our partner Quaint Business Solutions, we count that click (which page you were on, which button you clicked) so we can measure referrals. Still anonymous — no name, no email.
What we store regardless
- Your consent choice — one small entry in your browser's local storage (
db_cookie_consent) so we don't nag you on every visit. That's it.
What we never do
- No advertising cookies, no cross-site trackers, no data brokers.
- The mailing list only gets your email if you type it in yourself — and we never sell it. Unsubscribe anytime.
Change your choice
Use the Cookie settings link in the footer to re-open the banner and switch between Accept and Decline. You can also clear cookies and site data in your browser settings, which resets everything.
