About David Strausser
I’m the guy who sells you the truth about your systems — then helps you fix them.
The short version
I’m David Strausser, CEO of Dead Brands, LLC and Head of Sales for Quaint Business Solutions, bringing SAP Business One, Odoo, and smart business technology to small and midsize companies across the US. I’ve spent 10+ years in the ERP world — including as General Manager of the Northeast region at Vision33, a leading global SAP Business One partner, and as VP of Business Development at SEIDOR.
I host the Shark Bite Biz podcast — hundreds of episodes on the 3 G’s: personal growth, professional growth, and business growth. I’m a Penn State grad, spent 15 years living in Mexico, and I’m a member of the Forbes Business Development Council and the Harvard Business Review Advisory Council.
Off the clock I’m a single dad, a guitarist still chasing the rock star dream, and a Philadelphia Eagles fan. Based in Pennsylvania.
The road here
Most ERP consultants started in IT. I started in another country. I spent 15 years living in Mexico — long enough to become fluent in Spanish and long enough to serve as a binational advisor to Baja California’s Secretary of Tourism, helping American companies bring products into Latin America. That work taught me something most tech people never learn: business is done across cultures, currencies, and time zones, and the people who win are the ones who actually listen before they pitch.
That lens — the outsider who became an insider, the salesman who learned to translate between two worlds — is what I bring to every engagement today. ERP projects don’t fail because of software. They fail because nobody translated what the business actually needed into what the system actually does. I’ve been the translator my whole career.
The ERP career
I’ve spent more than a decade inside the ERP world, and I’ve seen it from every angle that matters. As General Manager of the Northeast region at Vision33 — one of the world’s leading SAP Business One partners — I ran the business of selling and delivering ERP. I saw what separates the implementations that transform companies from the ones that turn into expensive cautionary tales.
As VP of Business Development at SEIDOR, I learned the other side: how enterprise software gets sold, where the pitch ends and reality begins, and what’s happening inside the deal room when the vendor is on one side and you’re on the other. That’s why my ERP selection consulting hits different — I’ve been the guy in the vendor’s chair, so I know every trick in the book. Now I work for you.
Today I’m contracted as Head of Sales for Quaint Business Solutions, a boutique ERP consulting firm implementing SAP Business One and Odoo for US small and midsize businesses. Same mission, sharper focus: the right system, the right partner, the right implementation — for companies that don’t have a seven-figure budget to waste on getting it wrong.
The Dead Brands mission
Dead Brands, LLC exists for one reason: reviving the brands of yesterday, building the businesses of tomorrow. Too many good companies are running on a great business and a tired brand — the story they tell the world stopped being true somewhere around 2014. I help them fix the positioning, the messaging, and the content engine that keeps the story alive.
It’s the same instinct as the ERP work, just pointed at the outside of the business instead of the inside: find the gap between what’s real and what’s being said, then close it.
Off the clock
I’m a single dad — that’s not a bio line, it’s the organizing principle of my life. I’m a guitarist who’s never stopped chasing the rock star dream (ask me about it, but budget some time). And I’m a Philadelphia Eagles fan through every season, good or bad, which mostly means I’ve developed strong opinions about resilience.
I believe business should be personal, marketing should be honest, and nobody should ever have to sit through a software demo that insults their intelligence. If that sounds like your kind of people, we’ll get along fine.
